CITY OF LOMITA~RESOLUTION <br />SCHOOL BUS SAFETY MEASURES <br /> <br /> Councilman Hayward presented a copy of City of Lomita <br />Resolution No. 71-68 regarding legislation in the area of <br />School Bus safety regulations in support of proposed Assembly <br />Bill No. 1 introduced by Assemblyman Arnett. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Hayward and seconded by <br />Councilman Salvail that the City Manager be instructed to <br />write a letter to members of the state Assembly and State <br />Senate urging consideration and support of Assembly Bill <br />No. 1 relating to safety measures for school buses. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Salvail, Westerfield, <br />Hayward, Nielsen; <br />None; <br />Greene. <br /> <br />jl 2-14-72 <br /> <br />PARAMEDIC GROUP <br /> <br /> Councilman Nielsen stated that he had received a report <br />that City Paramedic personnel had rendered valuable assistance <br />to one of his neighbors, and he reqested that a report be made <br />periodically to the City Council on paramedic activity. <br /> <br />jl 2-14-72 <br /> <br />VALENTINE DAY GREETINGS <br /> <br /> Councilman Nielsen wished everyone a "Happy Valentine's <br />Day." <br /> <br /> jl 2-14-72 <br /> <br />FREEWAY 1-107 <br /> <br /> Councilman Westerfield stated that the City should be <br />represented at a hearing in Sacramento on March 9, 1972, at <br />which Assemblyman Robert Beverly would be speaking as author <br />of legislation to delete Freeway 1-107 from the State Freeway <br />System. <br /> <br />-17- <br /> <br /> <br />
